As an entrepreneur and mother of 5 Sherry graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas in proposal writing, policy analysis, and nonprofit management from the College of Community Service at the University of North Texas before co-founding Fix Family Courts with her husband and partner, Ron B Palmer.
Sherry has twice in her life had to overcome an oppressive court system process that threatened more harm to her life than good. First as a young child growing up in the streets of California she had to learn how to fight back which required that she learn how to persuade a judge and state bureaucrats simply to remain in her normal public school classes where she was excelling in spite of her living conditions.
Second as a mother facing divorce and an ex using the court system seeking to take her children from her when she had not broken any laws. While her two oldest children aged out and were taken from her through parental alienation, she was able to stop the disruption and interference of her parent-child relationship with her younger two, and end the high-conflict adversarial litigation.
Sherry has been politically active from an early age where she helped organize successful campaigns to protect the environment and the community, as well as has helped identify solutions to prevent or end injustice (both national and local), she has organized for political campaigns, and ran for local office herself. Sherry helps others fight injustices in more effective and professional ways.
Sherry sees her current role as generating greater awareness and knowledge regarding divorce and child custody disputes and providing strategies and tools to reduce injustice and to end the fighting.
Sherry does this through creating and teaching online digital courses, speaking, webinars, and workshops. Sherry’s teachings are unique and cutting edge to the family law industry developed by her and her husband. Sherry attributes successfully developing the most powerful tools and a five-stage formula to assist attorneys and pro se parents get better results and fight legal abuses that occur in the family court settings.
Sherry’s prior training and research experience was in medical and from her studies of biochemistry and genetics combined with Ron Palmer’s brilliance and experience with 20+ years of consulting the top Fortune 50 companies and top Fortune 5 C-level executives, technology development, and economics.
As a constitutional family rights expert researcher and writer, Sherry helps parents and their attorneys see the possibilities in making constitutional arguments for parental rights as being in the child’s best interests. She enables parents and attorneys to assert rights and convert the constitutional principles into everyday practice and natural language.
Sherry has been a guest on several news shows in several States, radio shows (syndicated, local, and internet based), as well as spoken for nonprofit agencies. She has also taught labs and run training simulations for integrating family rights protections into marriage dissolution/divorce, paternity, probate, juvenile, and separation cases. While Sherry is not an expert in the law, she is highly sought after by divorce professionals for speaking on the topic of solving the current issues encountered by parents and their attorneys, integrating solutions into the family court process, and correcting legislation to reflect parental rights according to the constitution.
Sherry is co-author of multiple books in this space, most notably for the book NOT in the Child’s Best Interest. She is the CEO for Fix Family Courts, a business she and her husband started in May 2013, that is dedicated to changing the way child custody laws are written and implemented both nationally and worldwide. This work includes providing parents and attorneys going through contested custody battles with support and resources, as well as educating legislators, judges, attorneys, and parents on parental rights under our Constitution.
Sherry is available to speak and to educate law professionals, attorneys, judges, legislators, pro se parents, as well as extended family members, grandparent groups, step-parents, educators, mental health professionals, schools, businesses and universities about parental rights, children’s rights, parental alienation, effects of escalation of high conflict divorces and separation of parents, maintaining relationships and protecting and growing healthy bonds during this stressful time and dealing with toxic personalities like narcissists, and how your rights play a role in all of this and protect children. Sherry also works on legislation and legislative changes with legislators, other organizations, parental rights advocates, activists, and nonprofits throughout the United States.
Sherry is a constitutional scholar but is NOT an attorney, is not a substitute for an attorney, and does NOT practice law in any state. If you need legal advice, then seek the help of an attorney in your state.
